Renovation solution in high rise appartment building
Renovation of an office building from the 70's into a student residence. 500 rooms in 18 floors were created with an energy efficient design which associates aluminum cladding, wide openings for daylight. This building is a demonstration for building function change. The asbestos was removed from the damaged slab. The construction labor plan required to work on large areas (800m²) in a limited time (1 floor per day).
After the asbestos was removed from the concrete slab an acrylic primer, weberfloor 4716, was applied in 2 layers. The screed, weberfloor 4150, was mixed and pumped in a thickness between 3-30 mm. With the high yield pump truck one could easily pump a full 800 m floor area, up to 18 floors high, in 1 working day.
